The eVisitor visa (subclass 651) allows eligible passport holders to visit Australia for tourism or business visitor purposes for up to 3 months at a time, within a 12-month period.
It is a free visa and is applied for entirely online.

What Is the eVisitor Visa (Subclass 651)?

The eVisitor visa (subclass 651) is designed for travellers from specific European countries who want to visit Australia for short stays.

This visa allows you to:

  • Travel to Australia for tourism, holidays, or visiting family and friends

  • Undertake short business visitor activities (such as meetings or conferences)

  • Enter Australia multiple times during the visa validity period

Each stay can be up to 3 months.

Who Can Apply for the eVisitor Visa?

You may be eligible for the eVisitor visa if you:

  • Hold a passport from an eligible European country

  • Are outside Australia when you apply

  • Intend to stay temporarily

  • Meet health and character requirements

You cannot work in Australia on this visa.

  • Length of each stay: Up to 3 months

You must leave Australia before each 3-month stay expires.

You cannot:

  • Work for an Australian employer
